How to choose cost-effective neodymium magnet?
1. Choose the appropriate magnet size according to your application.
As a manufacturer,we can produce magnets according to customers' requirements. If you choose the correct size,it can effectively avoid the increase of neodymium magnet ocst due to the use of large size.Even if you're not sure what size you need, we accept sample orders of different sizes. In that way,you can test them and willl ultimately help you develop new product/project successfully.
2. Determine the grade of NdfeB Magnet.
Basis on different grade of neodymium magnet,the temperature resistance are from 80 to 220 degree celsius. If your application requires magnet working at room temperature,the N series is the best choice,which have a max operating temperature 80 degrees Celsius. Generally speaking,the N35 grade is relatively cost-effective and also have strong magnetic force.And in the N series,the N55 grade have strongest magnetic force and more expensive.
On the other hand,the higher the temperature resistance of the NdFeB magnet,the more expensive it is. For example,N35M grade of neodymium magnet is expensive than N35 grade,although they have the same magnetic force,but the max opearting temp. of N35M is 100 degrees Celsuis

3. Confirm the direction of magnetization of magnet.
Countersunk NdFeB magnet are usually be axial magnetized,and also can be paired if you needs.
4. Plating/Coating:
Nickel are the most common type of plating,and the salt spray test can meet the requirement of 24-48 hours.Eopxy coating have excellent against humidity and salt spray environments,the salt spray test can reach 48-72 hours.
And there are other types of palting,like zinc,chrome(NiCuNi+Cr),gold(NiCuNi+Au),phospahted,passivation and etc.
